Digitally literate Scotties will be ready to actively participate in our increasingly civic and social justice oriented society and contribute to a vibrant, informed, and engaged global community.  Click here to see how Scottie’s are developing skills that employers and graduate schools are looking for!

The online component of SUM 400 develops students’ digital and information literacy as they work through online modules. Modules cover the mechanics of using digital and web-based software, organizing information, learning and reviewing copyright laws, and evaluating various information sources. The in-person faculty-led sections will engage approximately 20 students in discussion, lectures and presentations of digital portfolio examples. Faculty will work with students to become conversant on digital portfolio content material and help students to increase congruence between each students’ articulated vision and web-persona.
